Metal Free Crowns
A crown is a restorative “cap” for a tooth made in exact reproduction to the tooth’s color and anatomy. Your dentist will shape the tooth in preparation to accept your crown restoration and then take impressions. The dentist will determine your crown color using a shade guide to match your natural teeth. A temporary crown is placed on your prepared tooth until the final crown is ready. The impressions are sent to a dental laboratory where your crown is created. On your final visit, the temporary crown is removed so that the final dental crown restoration can be cemented in place.
